FEATURED PROJECTS

Heart and Vascular Center

Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center

Design and Construction Administration using the Lean Process with a select Construction Manager, including 4 Cath Labs, Pre and Post Beds, Isolation Beds,  Cardiac Testing including 3 Nuc Med Cameras, Echo and all support facilities.  Project completed ahead of schedule and below project budget including all AHCA reviews and approvals. Project included finishing of an existing basement area below the local hurricane flood hazard elevation with complete flood proofing so as to allow occupancy. This project created the most comprehensive Heart Center for diagnostic and interventional cardiac treatments in Manatee County, FL.  The Architect also paralleled and upgrade to an existing Cath Lab at the sister hospital, Lakewood Ranch Medical Center to serve as both a diagnostic and interventional CardiacTreatment unit.   Manatee Memorial Hospital and Lakewood Ranch Medical Center are sister entities of Universal Health Service (UHS).

Citrus Memorial Hospital retained James E. Toth, Architecture to design and assist in the Construction Administration and Execution of a new Cardio Vascular Program including the need for a combined open heart, Cath Lab Procedure Room and all supporting spaces.  The combined Open Heart design with the Cath Lab function prevents transport of the patient where both open heart and heart catheterization procedures such as TAVR, are anticipated one session, or in the event emergency open heart procedures are required.   Citrus Memorial now serves as the primary Cardio Vascular Care Hospital in Citrus County, FL and is a facility of HCA Healthcare.

Citrus Memorial Hospital:

James E. Toth, was pleased to design the Hybrid Cath Lab/Open Heart OR Suite at Citrus Memorial.  It was recently discussed that Citrus has successfully conducted approximately 80 TAVR Procedures with 2 requiring conversion to Open Heart Surgery in the Room.  This justifies the development of a true conversion procedure space so a patient can convert from a Cath Procedure to an Open Heart Procedure without delay.  This has proven to be a life saving feature of this design approach.
