James E. Toth, Architecture as a firm and James E. Toth, Architect is a smaller personal service firm with a broad base of architectural design, consulting, management and construction related experience. The experience of the Principal includes traditional Architectural roles, Development roles, multiple roles on the Owner's side of the table and Construction Management Consulting and direct construction management roles. The Principal is committed to upholding the highest Ethical, Professional and Christian standards both in the execution of the work of the firm and in all areas of professional and personal relationships.

James E. Toth, Architecture as a firm and James E Toth, Architect have committed years of experience and professional practice to establishing a solid reputation with all our clients, consultants and project relationships including regulatory agencies.  The principal as established respected relationships with many regulatory entities including but not limited to The Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) and its Office of Plans and Construction where in James was considered for the position of Chief of the OPC upon the retirement of Skip Gregory, AIA, its long time Chief.  James decided his contribution to the healthcare design industry in Florida may be better served by remaining in private practice.

James E. Toth, NCARB, is the Principal Architect and President of the firm, was originally registered in the State of Georgia in 1977 and has maintained Architectural Registration in several states either concurrently or in the past including Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, Alabama, Virginia, Kentucky and maintains a current NCARB Certificate for state registrations.  James opened his initial office in Macon, GA. in 1977 after working in other firms since 1968, working as Project Manager, Project Designer and Production Management on numerous Commercial, Municipal, Historic Preservation, Warehouse, Department Store, Residential, Condominium, Hospital and Nursing Home Projects.  These prior projects include Maas Brothers Department Stores, Historic Renovations and Hotel reuse of the Don CeSar Hotel, Historic Renovations to the Macon City Auditorium, Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and Jail, General Hospital, and many others.

Upon opening his original Macon, Ga office, Mr. Toth continued with numerous Condominium Projects for National Development Corp, designed branch banks including Macon Federal Savings and Loan, Consulting Architect to Pasco Housing Authority, Architect for Circuit City in the SE States, Design of Behavioral Health Facilities for Charter Medical Corp. while assisting with numerous Historic Preservation Projects in Macon, GA. including the Preservation Study and Initial Reuse Plan for the Historic Douglass Theater, the only remaining black vaudeville theater and the first significant reuse plan for the Historic Windsor Hotel in Americus, GA.

In 1983, Mr Toth opened an office in Bradenton, FL, continuing to work on Historic Preservation, Retail, Residential and Condominium Projects. In 1986 til 1990, Mr. Toth served as the Ministry Architect Manager for a Major International Television Ministry in Baton Rouge, LA.  In 1990, Mr. Toth initiated a concentration in design and construction management in healthcare and hospital related projects including major work for Manatee Memorial Hospital, Project Design Management for Life Care Centers of America (Associated with Architectural Concepts, Inc.)  In 1996, Mr. Toth started significant services for HCA Healthcare West Florida Division and has been responsible for numerous projects on the facility level for HCA which continues until today.  Mr. Toth has also been responsible for projects for Tenet Health, Bayfront Community Health Services (CHS). Universal Health Services (UHS), BayCare.  These design responsibilities include building a competent professional relationship with the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration (AHCA) Office of Plans and Construction, the Florida agency responsible for licensed healthcare facilities in Florida.  In addition to specializing in healthcare architecture, Mr. Toth actively works in other project types including Medical Office Buildings, Ambulatory Surgery Centers, Warehouse Service Center, Retirement and Elderly Housing as well as Religious Architecture.

James has had the unique opportunities to serve in capacities in Traditional Architectural Design Services, management of design services of others for Owners, performing design, development and construction management consulting services, performing Owner's representative services and assisting in development consulting.  He as also served on the Bradenton Downtown Development Authority, Manatee County Code Enforcement Board, and the Macon GA's Mayors Council on Historic Preservation.

James is married to Robin L Toth, who serves as Board Records Deputy Clerk for Manatee County, FL. Clerk of the Circuit Court.  Robin and Jim enjoy traveling to visit the children and grandchildren and Cruising as Diamond Club Members on Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines.
