After an unfortunate fire which devastated the old Planetarium and staff areas, the north end of the South Florida Museum was totally renovated including a totally new state of the art planetarium with reclining sloped riser seating, a full half dome projection screen and state of the art DLP Digital projectors interlaced to fill the dome with images of all subjects from space to undersea. 2 Educational Classrooms were renovated for school children to have a classroom experience and new Administration spaces, Large Pre-function Hall and Museum Store were included in the project.
